Tony Smith, past candidate for Denver City Council In District 10, has endorsed Wayne New for the June 4th run-off election.
“I’ve known Councilman New for years and did not make this decision lightly,” Smith said in a statement. “After a number of conversations with Wayne, I believe he is committed to representing all our residents and to embracing our district’s vibrant diversity.”
Smith spent 18 years as a community champion for city commissions, boards of directors and the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. His platform was focused on connecting, engaging and serving the district. “I stand ready to assist Wayne in these important components of the Tony for Denver platform.”
Run-off voting ballots are mailed the week of May 20th, and ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. June 4, 2019.
